Undeniable Bond
There is an undeniable bond between humans and their pets, whether you love dogs, cats, birds, ferrets or cows, for those who have pets, they can play a massive role in your life, they are part of the family but they also have a positive role to play in maintaining good mental health and wellbeing.
For me I love all sorts of animals and through out my life have had every kind of pet big and small from dogs to blue tongue lizards and this love of animals ultimately seen me become a dairy farmer, but I have always had the strongest connection to my dogs.
I got my first dog when I was two years old, a German Shorthaired Pointer, Hedda, we were inseparable growing up she was a loyal friend and protector, then there was Goldie the Cocker Spaniel, Hooch and Sam our loving Labradors and our kids first dogs, then Skip the adorable Whippet, well he was my sons but claimed him as my own, to our current dogs the majestic rescue Greyhound from the Greyhound Adoption Program, Missy and our Daughters ragamuffin Brittany Spaniel pup, Bonnie.
But how can our pets affect and benefit our everyday mental health and wellbeing?
